Planning a wedding in just eight weeks is stressful enough for any bride. But when you bring an entourage of “experts” who refuse to follow the rules, things can go from stressful to chaotic in seconds.
At Kleinfeld Bridal, bride Marjorie arrived in desperate need of a dress for her upcoming cocktail-reception wedding. With only two and a half months left, her time was running out.
The trouble started when Marjorie’s entitled bridesmaid, Alison, took matters into her own hands. Alison and another friend snuck into the private stockroom, an area strictly restricted to Kleinfeld staff.
They began pulling massive ballgowns priced at $7,400, which was nearly triple Marjorie’s actual budget of $2,500. Not only were these dresses financially impossible, but they also could not be prepared in time for the wedding.
Randy and Jessica tried to explain that pulling these over-budget dresses was a complete waste of precious time. However, Alison refused to listen and snapped, “We’re just gonna show her anyway.”
That was the final straw for Randy Fenoli. To protect the bride’s sanity and timeline, the beloved host decided to take control.
“You really need* to let us do our job, please,”* Randy said, his voice dropping to a stern, serious tone. “This isn’t the way we work here. I’m sorry. I’m gonna have to ask you to come out to the sofa.”
Alison was left completely speechless by the confrontation. She muttered to her friends on the couch, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been scolded. No way he told us to get out.”
With the toxic distraction finally removed from the fitting room, the professionals were able to do what they do best. Randy pulled a stunning sweetheart ruched gown that fit Marjorie’s “untraditional” theme perfectly.
The price was a perfect $2,100, putting her right under her $2,500 budget. Marjorie burst into a huge smile and officially said “Yes” to the dress.
Even the entitled bridesmaid Alison had to admit defeat when she saw how gorgeous the bride looked. Marjorie felt an immense weight released off her shoulders, thanks to Randy’s quick intervention.
